- Experts found non-compliance with GOST in 75% of imported inexpensive cognacs in Moscow

In Moscow, as a result of the study in laboratories of 253 samples of imported cognacs of the lowest price segment, it became known that 75% of products do not comply with GOST. This was told to "Izvestia" on December 19 by Vladislav Reznik, president of the Association "Antikontrafakt", deputy of the State Duma.
"Since 2023, we have been conducting purchases and research in the laboratories of Rosalkogoltabakontrol and the Federal Scientific Center of Food Systems named after. Gorbatov RAS imported cognacs of the lowest price segment in retail chains in Moscow. The results of the research are as follows. Out of 253 samples only 63 samples, or only 25%, showed compliance with applicable GOSTs. That is, 75% of inexpensive imported cognacs on the shelves in Moscow retailers do not meet the requirements," he said Reznik.
According to him, 40% of violations are due to the fact that for the production of such cognac used alcohols of non-vinograd origin.
Earlier, on November 4, nutritionist Larisa Gabdulkhakova told Izvestia that excessive alcohol consumption is one of the most common causes of reversible arterial hypertension, accounts for about a third of all cases of non-ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy, and markedly increases the risk of stroke. In addition, against the background of alcohol abuse is gluing of blood cells, damaging the walls of blood vessels, she said.
