Employees of Khabarovsk depot were given suspended sentences for stealing fuel

The Khabarovsk Territory Court has handed down a judgment in a case involving two residents of the Vanino district. They were found guilty of stealing railway rolling stock, aiding and abetting the theft by a group of persons by prior conspiracy on a large scale and the theft itself.

The court found that employees of the locomotive service depot of LLC "LocoTech-Service" in April 2023 conspired with an unknown person to steal diesel fuel. To do so, one of them stole a locomotive and drove it on tracks outside the technical depot. The other two accomplices pumped 6,000 liters of diesel fuel from the locomotive's fuel tanks into tanks in their cars and fled.

The damage caused to Russian Railways was estimated at more than 260 thousand rubles. The defendants reimbursed it in full. The court sentenced them to 3 to 4.5 years of suspended imprisonment with a probation period of three years, reports IA AmurMedia.
