A new guide to the average cost of car parts, which is used to calculate repairs under CMTPL insurance, has come into force in Russia. The prices for spare parts for VAZ and Volkswagen cars have increased the most. This is stated in the report of the Russian Union of Auto Insurers, which was received by "Izvestia" on December 19.

On average, the cost of spare parts in the handbook has increased by 0.5% compared to the handbook in force since September 19, 2024. Such dynamics suggests that the situation with spare parts is stable on average, although the trends in prices for parts for cars of different brands differ markedly, said the president of RAMI Evgeny Ufimtsev.

Thus, the strongest rise in prices for parts for VAZ (+3.2%), and among foreign brands - on Volkswagen (+2.5%), Renault (+2.1%) and Kia (+1.9%). At the same time, the average prices for spare parts for Audi decreased by 1.5%, for Mazda and Mitsubishi - by about 2.5%.

The results of the market research conducted in June-July 2024 were used in the formation of the previous guide. During this period, the problem of payment for goods coming from foreign countries began to aggravate, and the volume of supply in the market for spare parts began to decline, said the RAMI. The dynamics of prices reflect the situation of supply and availability of spare parts. Final prices are affected by changes in the costs of suppliers and sellers, Ufimtsev explained.

On the eve of the director of the department of new cars company "Rolf" Nikolai Ivanov said that in 2025 from the Russian market may leave some Chinese car brands, for example Livan, Kaiyi, SWM and Foton.

Also on Wednesday it became known that the average payment on MTPL insurance in November this year amounted to 99.93 thousand rubles, which is 10.4% more than last year. The average premium in November amounted to Br7,539, which is 4.6% lower than the average premium in November last year, and 6.5% less than in January 2024.
