Putin commented on the murder of General Kirillov

The murder of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops of the Russian Armed Forces (AF), was committed in a manner dangerous to many. This was reported by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the "Results of the Year" on December 19.

The next day the FSB reported the detention of a 29-year-old man in the case of the murder of Kirillov and his assistant. During interrogation, the attacker said that he had been recruited by the Ukrainian security services. He could face punishment up to life imprisonment.
