No new building will be built during the renovation of the Decembrists Museum in Chita

The authorities of Transbaikalia do not plan to build a modular building for the exhibits of the Decembrists Museum in Chita to place them there during the renovation. Information about the construction of the facility was denied by the regional Ministry of Culture. However, the ministry noted that the exhibits will still have to be moved to another place.

IA ChitaMedia with reference to the ministry writes that the source of funding for the museum reconstruction has not been determined yet, the timing of the work is also not known, there are no decisions on the buildings either.

The design and estimate documentation for the restoration of the museum, located in the church, was drawn up in 2021. The works were estimated at 20.2 million rubles. The Agency notes that in November 2024 Zabaikalye and Nornickel agreed on cooperation. The agreement states that the company will move the museum to another building during the restoration of the church.

In mid-November, it was reported that a new dog shelter was being completed in the town of Borzya in the Transbaikal Territory. The territory away from residential houses was chosen for it, the enclosures themselves are arranged in compliance with the necessary norms and rules. The shelter is designed for 150-200 animals. The shelter is expected to open this winter.
