A curling venue opened at the Journey to Christmas festival

Within the framework of the festival "Journey to Christmas" under the project "Winter in Moscow" there is a platform "Christmas Curling", said the organizers of the festival. From December 14 to January 12, Muscovites and guests of the city can practice this sport, take part in master classes and mini-tournaments, as well as watch performances of professional athletes and competitions of amateur teams.
The curling ground is located on Shkolnaya Street between houses 35 and 41. There are two ice tracks 35 meters long and four meters wide. For their pouring used about 30 tons of water. Visitors are provided with all the necessary equipment for the game: two sets of 16 stones, brushes, sliders and vests of different colors to make it easier to divide into teams.
Professional athletes-instructors will explain the rules of the game and give useful advice, as well as hold daily master classes.
There will be competitions among amateur teams, as well as contests "The best shot", "Breakthrough of the Year" and other competitions.
Everyone over the age of nine can participate in training. Even preschoolers can try their hand at curling and just skate on the ice under the supervision of their parents and instructors: master classes and mini-tournaments, as well as sports contests and quizzes will be held for them.
The curling ground is open daily from 12:00 to 21:00. Pre-registration for participation in the events is available on the website of the Russian Curling Federation. However, it will be possible to take part in the work of the venue without registration: one of the lanes will work in the live queue mode on weekdays from 18:00 to 21:00. In total, the guests of the venue will be able to play more than 3 thousand curling games.
