Putin instructed to solve without bureaucracy the issue of seniority for accrual of pensions in Donbass

The issue of confirmation of length of service for pension accrual should be solved in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) without unnecessary bureaucracy, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on December 19 during the "Results of the Year".

"I very much ask the republic's leadership to build its work in such a way that issues of this kind are solved without unnecessary bureaucracy," the head of state said, responding to an appeal by a pensioner from Donetsk who cannot receive a pension because he lost his labor book in a fire.

Putin agreed that this is an important problem for people, which until recently was difficult to solve. At the same time, not so long ago a federal law was adopted to take into account the length of service received by a person in previous years and decades, the president recalled.

He pointed out that this law is the legal basis for resolving the issue of the author of the appeal. In general, all questions of this kind, even in the absence of documents, are closed by testimony and decisions of interdepartmental regional commissions, Putin noted.

Earlier, November 30, Putin signed a law on the budget of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund for 2025-2027, according to which the social pension will be indexed by 14.75%. After indexation, its size from April 1, 2025 will be 15,456 rubles. In addition, insurance pensions will be increased by 7.3% from January 1, 2025.
