Putin called it the right decision to transfer federal agencies to the regions

Russian President Vladimir Putin during the "Results of the Year" called the transfer of federal agencies to the regions the right decision.
Commenting on his initiative to relocate RusHydro's head office to Krasnoyarsk, the president replied that other government and business structures are also planned to move.
"Yes, first of all, I think it is very right, and some, maybe even federal bodies to move to different centers of the country - this is development after all," Putin said, adding that there are now attempts to concentrate all judicial power in St. Petersburg.
He also noted that such a move would make the city "geographically more independent" and give it "the functions of a capital city."
"But other centers, such as Krasnoyarsk, need the tax component to work brighter, and that there taxes are paid at the place of production, well, and it is simply a push to the development of the region. We will do it," said the Russian leader.
The direct line with Vladimir Putin in 2024 will be combined with a press conference for the media. The format called "Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin" allows the president to convey his position not only on citizens' issues, but also on the state and world agenda, which is often asked by journalists.
Representatives of Western media and foreign journalists accredited in Russia have also received invitations to the events.
As of the morning of December 19, the number of requests sent to the direct line with the president exceeded 2 million.
The first live broadcast took place in December 2001. By the President's own admission, this event is the most powerful sociological poll, which allows citizens to convey their position and assessment of the country's leadership.
