On the night of December 19, three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked Michurinsky district of the Tambov region, after which a fire broke out. This was reported in the Telegram-channel of the region on December 19.

"The fire with an area of 105 square meters was liquidated by the forces of the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Tambov region", - stated in the publication.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the UAVs over the Tambov region were destroyed by air defense (air defense) means.

It is specified that there are no casualties or damage to infrastructure as a result of the AFU attack.

Earlier, on the same day, it was reported about the burning of an oil products plant after an attack by Ukrainian UAVs in Novoshakhtinsk.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
