Media reported a secret meeting between Starmer adviser and Trump's inner circle

The chief of staff of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Morgan McSweeney, secretly visited the United States to gain favor with the United States President-elect Donald Trump. This was reported by The Telegraph newspaper on December 19.
"Earlier this month, Keir Starmer's chief of staff held secret talks with senior members of Donald Trump's team at the White House in America," the publication wrote.
The media outlet pointed out that McSweeney first traveled to Florida to meet with Trump's political strategist Susan Wiles, later he visited Washington to discuss issues with Mike Walz, whom Trump decided to appoint as his national security adviser.
The newspaper explains that Starmer's decision to send his aide to the Republican's entourage indicates that there are concerns in the government about the need to build a relationship with the US president-elect.
On December 18, Trump's victory was officially confirmed through the constitutional process of electoral college voting. The Republican received a majority of the electoral college votes. The decisive moment was the awarding of 40 electoral votes from the state of Texas to Trump.
On November 6, Republican Party candidate Donald Trump announced that he had won the election and became the 47th president of the United States. He announced this in front of his supporters in the state of Florida. Previously, he had already headed the White House in 2017-2021 and was the 45th president in the history of the country.
