Putin admits revival of the Institute of Internal Troops in North Ossetia

The Republic of North Ossetia has always been an outpost of the Russian Federation in the Caucasus, in connection with which it would be possible to revive the North Caucasus Military Institute of Internal Troops there. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the "Results of the Year" on December 19.
"North Ossetia has always been an outpost of Russia in this direction, in the Caucasus, and at all times justified this high purpose. We know how the republic's residents feel about their small homeland and our large common motherland, Russia. They have always stood in its defense and performed this function very worthily, brilliantly," Putin said.
He noted that earlier in the country as a whole there was indeed a reduction of military schools.
"This is not due to the fact that they decided to close them in Ossetia, it is due to the fact that the network of schools in general, as military experts, military departments have considered, it was overdimensioned," the head of state pointed out.
However, now the number of the country's army is increasing, in particular in power units, the president specified.
"I can't directly say now what tomorrow is. But I tell you that we will definitely work it out (the issue of the revival of the school. - Ed.) ," - said Putin.
Earlier, on September 2, a branch of the Nakhimov Naval School opened in Mariupol. The educational complex was erected in record time. The Nakhimov school in Mariupol became the fifth branch of the educational institution in the country. It was noted that schoolchildren will study the basics of naval science, the history of the fleet, as well as the management of small vessels within the program.
