A serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Hryhoriy Shynkarev, was captured in Kursk Region. He told on December 19 about the rude treatment of ordinary military personnel and cruel orders from the command.

The man said that on the territory of the region they were ordered to kill peaceful people who speak Russian.

"Those residents who speak the Ukrainian language, do not touch them, let them pass. And those who speak Russian, those to be shot.<...> The order was such, well, there were no other options. That's the only way. No, we would have been shot then," Shinkarev said.

According to him, the attitude to ordinary servicemen of the AFU was very cruel.

"Beaten, beaten with sticks for holding a machine gun incorrectly or refusing to kill someone from the Russians. They broke arms, legs. Some people ran away from there, but they were caught without a shoulder blade, without body armor, threw them out to ground zero and shot there. In my memory there are more than 10 people who tried to escape," he added.

Shinkarev also noted that the Ukrainian people are against President Volodymyr Zelensky (powers expired in May), because people are tired of living in poverty, and the head of the Kiev regime does not help citizens in any way.

Earlier, on December 16, captured serviceman Artur Plombirus said that the AFU command gave orders to shoot civilians and Russian soldiers in Kursk region. According to him, the AFU command set the task to shoot Russian soldiers and civilians, in addition, the command asked them not to speak to them in Ukrainian.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
