Russia should not resemble those countries that ban the activities of journalists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this on December 19, commenting on the presence of journalists from countries unfriendly to Russia at Russian President Vladimir Putin 's press conference.

"We must use every opportunity to convey our voice, the truth of our president to the world," Peskov noted.

On the eve, December 18, Peskov said that Russia and its president are the objects of increased interest of the world media, so the Russian Federation needs to use it to convey the truth and the country's position. The Kremlin official then emphasized that at Putin's upcoming press conference, the main number of questions is still expected from Russian journalists.

Also on December 18, Peskov told Izvestia that some foreign journalists from unfriendly countries would be present at the Russian president's press conference. In addition, he noted that some of them have expressed a desire to come specifically to participate in the event.

On December 14, Putin reported that he has already familiarized himself with the questions he will have to answer during the direct line and noted that the country is developing, but many more issues need to be resolved.

The direct line of the head of state on December 19 will be combined with a large press conference. The events will be held under the title "The results of the year with Vladimir Putin". Representatives of Western media and foreign journalists accredited in Russia have received invitations.
