Czech Republic in October increased beer supplies to Russia to the highest level in four years

The Czech Republic increased beer supplies to Russia in October almost twofold - up to € 4 million. This figure has become the maximum since August 2020. This was reported on December 19 by "RIA Novosti" with reference to the analysis of Eurostat data.

"The Czech Republic in October increased beer shipments to Russia almost twice, up to €4 million - this is the maximum since August 2020," the agency reports.

The indicator also increased in Poland - 5.7 times, to €2.3 million.

As for other countries, they reduced sales. Thus, Germany reduced beer shipments by 18% in annual terms - to € 6 million. Imports of the alcoholic beverage from Latvia decreased by 12% - to € 3.5 million, and the supply of Lithuanian beer decreased by 41% - to € 2.6 million.

Earlier, on December 12, it was reported that with the onset of autumn, the share of strong beer in the Russian market increased from 9.2% in July to 10.5% in September, despite the seasonal decline in overall consumption of the drink.

On November 1, representatives of the Center for Development of Advanced Technologies reported that Stary Melnik, Gold Mine Beer, BUD, Bochkarev and Löwenbräu became the most popular beer brands in consumer packaging: they accounted for 17.4% of all beer sales in June - August 2024.
