BAIC will introduce three new models in Russia in 2025


BAIC plans to introduce three new models of BJ off-road line in Russia in 2025. This was reported on December 19 by the analytical agency "Autostat" with reference to the press service of the Russian office of the brand.
It is already known that the full-size frame BAIC BJ60 will debut early next year. It will be the second model of off-road series after the BJ40 model.
The length of the BJ60 is 5040 mm with a wheelbase of 2820 mm. At the first stage, the model will be offered with a two-liter diesel engine with an output of 163 hp (400 Nm) paired with an eight-speed automatic. Together with the internal combustion engine works 14-horsepower electric motor, which performs the function of the starter, facilitating the work of the engine. The all-wheel drive system is realized on the principle of Part-Time.
In addition to the BJ40, now the range of the brand includes a sedan U5 Plus, compact crossover X35, mid-size crossovers X55, BAIC X7 and BAIC X75. BAIC models are produced at the plant "Avtotor" in the Kaliningrad region.
The day before it was reported that the company "Mir-Distributor" began taking orders in Russia for a new electric hatchback MG4, the price of the model starts from 5.55 million rubles. The model is equipped with a dual-motor powertrain with an output of 428 hp (600 Nm) and all-wheel drive.
