Passengers of the train, which was traveling from Murmansk to St. Petersburg and collided with a freight train, continue their journey in a specially formed train. This was reported by the Federal Passenger Company (FPC) on December 19.

"Comfortable temperature is maintained in the cars, conductors provide passengers with all possible assistance and help. At Kem station was organized catering for passengers," - stated in the Telegram-channel FPC.

According to the company, now the movement at the station Knyazhnaya suspended, as restoration work is being carried out.

"To reduce the time of delay of trains organized transportation of passengers between the stations Kandalaksha and Loukhi buses. Afterwards, passengers will be able to transfer to the trains," the FPC added.

Thecollision of two trains occurred on December 18 at the arrival of a passengertrain at the station Knyazhaya in the Murmansk region. The passenger train, traveling on the route Murmansk - St. Petersburg, collided with a freight train.

According to the latest data, the accident killed two people, 31 people were injured.

A criminal case under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation was initiated over the accident. Investigators detained the driver of the freight train, as well as his assistant. They are suspected of violating traffic safety rules. The issue of selecting a measure of restraint for the detainees is being decided.
