In Buryatia, a driver failed to cope with the control and allowed a gasoline tanker to overturn, causing a fuel spill on the road. This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Buryatia in Telegram-channel on December 19.
"In the morning of December 19, 2024 on the highway Ulan-Ude - Kyakhta - the border with Mongolia near the village of Povorot of Selenginsky district, the driver of the truck tractor "Freud Liner", carrying fuel in a semi-trailer tanker, failed to cope with the control and allowed the car to overturn. As a result, there was depressurization of one of the compartments of the tank with the subsequent spillage of fuel", - stated in the message.
It is reported that the driver was not injured. An inspection will be carried out to assess the execution of traffic safety and compliance with labor protection laws.
Earlier, in October this year, it became known that there was a fuel spill during an accident on a federal road in the Khabarovsk region. It is reported that the driver of a truck tractor Volvo FH-TRUK as part of a semi-trailer "Tonar" allowed a collision with a Freightliner Century truck tractor standing on the roadside as part of a semi-trailer Schmitz. The impact damaged the Volvo's gas tank, resulting in fuel spilling onto the roadway.
