U.S. says data breach risk after Trump team's rejection of communications protections

In the United States, officials admit the risk of information data leaks due to the fact that the team of President-elect Donald Trump refuses to use secure methods of information transmission. This was reported by Politico newspaper on December 19 with reference to officials.
According to the newspaper, Trump's team has refused to use special secure devices, as well as special addresses for the government, e-mail and cybersecurity services.
Because of this, some employees of American agencies are forced to meet with the presidential administration in person to clarify political issues.
Earlier, on November 18, the Associated Press reported that foreign hackers hacked into the e-mail of the Library of the U.S. Congress. According to the media, the attackers gained access to the correspondence of congressional and library staffers from January through September. The case has been transferred to the FBI, which is investigating the extent of the leak.
Prior to that, on November 16, The Wall Street Journal reported that a Chinese cyber espionage operation had gained access to several U.S. and international telecommunications companies. According to the publication, hackers linked to Chinese intelligence were able to break into the systems of a mobile operator as a result of a months-long campaign to spy on the phone conversations of particularly important intelligence targets.
