The AdG party has called on Germany to leave the European Union

The party "Alternative for Germany" (AdG) in the framework of the election program called for the withdrawal of Germany from the European Union (EU). This was reported by the Bloomberg news agency on December 19.
"We don't need all these bureaucrats who have no idea what they are doing and are destroying our foundation in the European Union. We don't see the European Union in its current state as an institution that works well," the publication quoted AdG chancellor candidate Alice Weidel as saying.
The politician criticized the EU for destroying the country's automotive industry and suggested turning the bloc into a free trade zone, Gazeta.Ru adds.
The candidate for Chancellor from the AdG said that the automotive German sector was robbed by the EU ban on the sale of new vehicles with internal combustion engines by 2035.
Earlier, on December 15, the Alternative for Germany in Thuringia presented a resolution for peace and German sovereignty in three languages - German, English and Russian. Before that, on December 7, the AdG nominated Weidel as a candidate for chancellor of Germany in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
On November 29, the party advocated the country's exit from the European Union (EU) in its election program. Not only German politicians are calling for leaving the EU. For example, in August, the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, called on France to leave the EU and stop financing Ukraine.
