French soccer club (FC) Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma suffered a head injury during a game against FC Monaco on December 18. The victim's opponent Stephane Singo unintentionally struck Donnarumma in the face with spiked boots.

The Monegasque defender was trying to jump over the French goalkeeper when he caught the ball. However, Shingo accidentally hit Donnarumma's right cheek with his cleats.

The PSG goalkeeper received prompt medical attention - he received 10 stitches, Sport-Express adds.

The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper was replaced by Russian player Matvey Safonov after he was injured in the 21st minute.

At the time of the incident, the score was 1-0 in favor of PSG. At the end of the match won the French club with a score of 4:2. The referee of violations on the part of "Monaco" did not note.

On the eve, December 18, it was reported that the Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin, playing for the Washington Capitals, may return to play before the Christmas break.
