Khakassia resident detained on suspicion of state treason for financing the AFU


A resident of Khakassia has been detained on suspicion of treason for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on December 19 in the press service of the Department of the FSB in the region.
"An unemployed resident of the city of Abaza, born in 1995, who in November 2022 made a money transfer for the purchase of the AFU special automotive equipment, was identified. The investigative department of the FSB in respect of the said person initiated a criminal case under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("High Treason")," - TASS quotes the statement of the press service of the agency.
It is specified that the man confessed to committing the crime. He was chosen a measure of restraint in the form of two months in custody. Specialists have completed the investigation, its materials will soon be sent to the Supreme Court of Khakassia.
Earlier, on November 18, FSB and Rosgvardia officers detained a resident of Mariupol for calls for violence against Russians in social networks. Later, on November 28, a criminal case on state treason was opened against him.
