Slyusar: AFU attacked Rostov region with the use of more than 30 UAVs

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have attacked Rostov Region with the help of more than 30 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and three missiles. This was announced on December 19 by Yuri Slyusar, interim governor of the region.
"Last night Rostov region was subjected to a massive attack by the enemy, who used more than 30 UAVs and three missiles for this purpose," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
To protect Taganrog, Bataysk, Rostov, Shakhty, Kamensk, Millerovo and Novoshakhtinsk, air defense (ASW) assets were deployed, Slyusar added.
In addition, one person was injured in a settlement near Rostov as a result of falling fragments of a drone. He was given the necessary assistance, the regional governor noted.
At the same time, Slyusar reported that an oil products plant caught fire in Novoshakhtinsk after the Ukrainian attack. On the same day, the governor's acting governor noted that air defense forces destroyed seven drones over the Rostov region, six of them in Taganrog and one in Bataysk.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
