One person was injured as a result of falling UAV debris in Rostov region

One person has been injured in Rostov Region during an attack on the region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) due to falling fragments of a drone. This was reported on December 19 by the acting governor of the region Yuri Slyusar.
"Unfortunately, due to the fall of fragments of the drone one person was injured in a settlement near Rostov. He was provided with the necessary assistance. Information about other consequences on the ground will still be clarified," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.
Slyusar also specified that as a result of a massive attack by Ukrainian militants on the region with the help of more than 30 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and three missiles, a fire broke out at the Novoshakhtinsk oil products refinery. Firefighters were involved in extinguishing the blaze.
"Air defense forces were engaged to protect Taganrog, Bataysk, Rostov, Shakhty, Kamensk, Millerovo and Novoshakhtinsk," he added.
Earlier in the day, Slyusar reported that an oil products factory in Novoshakhtinsk caught fire after a Ukrainian attack.
Also that day, Slyusar said that air defense forces (Air Defense Forces) destroyed seven drones over the Rostov region, including six in Taganrog and one in Bataysk. He also specified that there were no casualties or damage as a result of the attacks.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
