Polygamist and father of many children Ivan Sukhov told Izvestia about the situation in his family and why his marital status caused a stir in society.

"My girls are doing well. Wives love me, I love them. Everything is good with us, wonderful. We all respect each other, there are no problems," Sukhov said.

In his opinion, the close attention to his family is due to the "raging feminism" that the West teaches Russians, urging them not to have children.

He also noted that in Russia it is possible to feed a family on little money.

"If you live competently and go shopping yourself, if you cook everything yourself, you can perfectly well and go to the south every year. The state provides, helps large families well," said the father of 14 children and emphasized that Russia is the only country where you can have many children and live well.

Sukhov also believes that people forget that happiness is in children.

"Probably, people have too much comfort, they "run wild" and do not have children: they run after different resorts, cars, money. <...> Because no money in life will not make you happy like your own children," he shared.

Earlier, on December 18, a polygamist with 14 children spoke about a check on his family after a high-profile interview and requests from the public to conduct a check. In his opinion, someone is PR on him.

Before that, on December 18, Olga Yaroslavskaya, Ombudsman for Children's Rights in Moscow, announced plans to visit the family of the capital's polygamist Ivan Sukhov, who has three wives and 14 children. According to the ombudsman, she is not ready to comment on the moral and ethical side of the situation, it is important for her to make sure that the rights of children are not violated.
