The Governor of the Voronezh region reported the elimination of several UAVs in the region

Air defense forces (AFD) and radio electronic security (REB) have eliminated several drones in the Voronezh region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Gusev on December 19.

"On-duty air defense forces and REB means in one of the districts of the Voronezh region detected and destroyed several aircraft-type UAVs," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Gusev pointed out that there were no casualties or damage as a result of the attacks.

Earlier in the day, Yuri Slyusar, the acting governor of the Rostov region, said that air defense forces destroyed seven drones over the Rostov region, including six in Taganrog and one in Bataysk.

Later, Slyusar said that after the UAV attack there was a fire at the Novoshakhtinsk oil products plant. According to him, emergency rescue units went to the scene of the fire. Information about the injured is being clarified.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
