The American firm Chrysler, in an archival report commissioned by the CIA, highly praised the functionality and design of the T-34 tank. On December 19, on the eve of the tank's anniversary, the state corporation Rostec told Izvestia.

It is noted that the T-34 tank was adopted by the Red Army on December 19, 1939. According to the report, which historians of "Uralvagonzavod" (part of the Uralvagonzavod concern of Rostec State Corporation) found in the public domain, experts from the United States in 1951, performing an analysis of the T-34-85 trophy tank, called it high quality and favorable.

"They noted the use of high-alloy steel and other high-quality materials that are "in some cases even better than those used in American tanks"; the armor is "much harder than stipulated in our specifications, but also more ductile," the company's experts' assessments are cited.

In addition, Chrysler concluded that the discovered shortcomings of the T-34 followed not from the backwardness of technology, but from the shortage of equipment and highly skilled labor in the war and postwar years. As noted historian and scientific editor of Uralvagonzavod Sergei Ustiantsev, when analyzing the tank, American experts "found out that it was the limit not only for the Soviet Union, but also for the American industry."

"For our country it meant a technological leap of incredible proportions, and in the conditions of the loss in the first year of the Great Patriotic War half of the entire industry and the shutdown of the main pre-war tank factories. Plus the Soviet Union, still recently an agrarian country, rose to a machine corresponding to the highest world level," he said.

Rostec noted that the manufacturability of the T-34 lay in the Tagil variant of the flow and conveyor production, which made it possible to make tank production continuous. At the same time, work was done to simplify the technology as much as possible, as well as to improve the combat performance of the T-34.

Earlier, on November 23, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called the T-90M tank the best in the world. He also noted the work of the Uralvagonzavod plant, which he visited the same day. Medvedev emphasized that the plant "is working to a large extent to achieve the goal of the special military operation."

Before that, Alexander Spiridonov, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade, spoke about the combat superiority of the T-90 tank over its foreign counterparts. According to him, the T-90 tank was created as a competitor to the American Abrams.

During a visit to Uralvagonzavod in the Sverdlovsk Region on February 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the T-90 Breakthrough, without exaggeration, the best. According to the head of state, both Russian tankers and opponents recognize the tank's advantage.
