Soldiers of the artillery crew of the 152-millimeter towed gun "Hyacinth-B" of the Center group of troops have destroyed a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Krasnoarmeyskoye direction of the special military operation. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 19.

According to the ministry, air reconnaissance received data about the AFU personnel hiding in the forest belt. Then the artillery crew in cooperation with the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) carried out the defeat of the detected dugouts and enemy fire points. The artillery gun fire was corrected in real time. The targets of the Ukrainian fighters were destroyed with a minimum number of shots.

Also in this direction, fighters destroy enemy mortar crews, Western-made artillery systems, M-777 howitzers, 155-millimeter AHS Krab self-propelled launchers and American-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.

"Helping our infantry, hitting heavy equipment, enemy infantry. The gun works up to 35 kilometers," said junior sergeant Konstantin Gorokhovadchenko, the gun commander.

Earlier, on December 16, the 203-millimeter self-propelled artillery unit (SAU) 2S7M Malka of the Center group of troops eliminated armored vehicles and a Ukrainian army stronghold, preventing the rotation of militants in the Krasnoarmeysk direction. The unit delivered a series of blows with 110 kg fragmentation projectiles.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made due to the aggravation of the situation in the region.
