The Russian Defense Ministry reported about new feats of the Russian Armed Forces in the NWO zone

The Russian Defense Ministry on December 19 described the exploits of servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) during a special military operation (SMO).

It noted the feat of Private Sergei Zaitsev, who as part of an assault unit performed the task of destroying strongholds, weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in an important direction of the Russian troops' offensive. The serviceman used FPV drones with ammunition-dropping systems to support the advancing attackers, conducted aerial reconnaissance of enemy positions and promptly transmitted information about maneuvers and regroupings of Ukrainian militants to the command post. As indicated in the agency, Zaytsev destroyed several machine-gun points of the AFU. The enemy suffered losses and retreated.

In addition, the serviceman conducted a sweep of the stronghold together with fellow servicemen. Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces quickly equipped positions for firing in the direction of enemy defenses, which allowed to use the captured stronghold for subsequent attacks.

The ministry also noted the feat of Lieutenant Ilya Ryaskov, who participated in the work to counter enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). While conducting aerial reconnaissance, the serviceman detected an enemy reconnaissance drone approaching the camouflaged positions of Russian artillerymen.

Then Ryaskov intercepted the copter's control with the help of electronic warfare equipment and landed it at a distance from the artillery positions. After moving to an alternate position, he continued reconnaissance.

Ryaskov's actions allowed the Russian Armed Forces artillery units to remain undetected by the enemy, which further allowed them to destroy particularly important enemy targets.

Earlier, on December 18, it was reported that servicemen of the ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun of the Center group of troops destroyed a Baba Yaga-type UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Krasnoarmeyskoye direction of the special military operation (SMO).

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the region.
