Russian air defence forces have eliminated two more Ukrainian drones over the territory of Bryansk Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on December 18.

"Two more unmanned aerial vehicles of aircraft type have been detected and destroyed by the air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Bogomaz specified that there were no casualties or damage. Emergency services are working at the site.

Earlier in the day Bogomaz announced the destruction of seven Ukrainian UAVs over the Bryansk region.

On the morning of December 18, the Russian Defense Ministry said that over the past day air defense forces destroyed four Ukrainian UAVs over three Russian regions. Two drones were eliminated over the territory of the Belgorod region and one UAV each over the Bryansk and Kursk regions.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
