Air defense forces destroyed five drones over the Bryansk region

In the skies above the Bryansk Region, air defense forces have destroyed five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on December 18.

"Five more enemy UAVs of aircraft type have been detected and destroyed by the air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry over the Bryansk region," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to Bogomaz, no casualties or damage were found. Operational and emergency services are working on the site.

Before that, the Governor of the Bryansk region reported about two downed over the region drones of the Ukrainian army.

Earlier in the day, the acting Governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar reported that the air defense forces repelled a missile attack of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the region. He specified that three out of four missiles were shot down near Kamensk. One of the missiles hit a farm building, the victims were not found.

Before that, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that over the past day air defense forces destroyed four Ukrainian UAVs over three regions of the Russian Federation. Two drones were eliminated over the territory of the Belgorod region and one UAV each - over the Bryansk and Kursk regions.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
