Candidate of Medical Sciences, nutritionist Andrei Bobrovsky explained on Wednesday, December 18, why lard is considered an important product in cancer prevention.

He noted that lard contains antioxidants or vitamin E, to which many useful properties are attributed, including cancer prevention.

"Also, the product contains fat-soluble vitamins: A, D, K. In lard there is the famous arachidonic acid (essential fatty acid), which independently in the body can not be synthesized. It is responsible for the normal functioning of the hormonal system and immunity", - explained the expert in conversation with "Radio 1".

According to the nutritionist, lard reduces the risk of developing not only cancer, but also many other diseases: cardiovascular, diseases of the central nervous system and brain, Alzheimer's disease.

Bobrovsky added that lard has selenium, which supports the thyroid gland and the immune system.

Also, moderate consumption of lard reduces blood cholesterol levels and increases the elasticity of blood vessels, reports 360.ru.

On December 10, the Russian government allocated funding for payments in 2025 to medics for detected cancer, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".

Doctor of nutritionist, doctor of medical sciences Mariyat Mukhina told "Moscow 24" that in winter you can eat cottage cheese, fruit and eggs for breakfast. A 30-gram piece of lard will also be useful: it contains arachidonic acid, which strengthens the immune system.

Earlier, on November 19, gastroenterologist doctor "SM-Clinica" Valeria Lomova told in a conversation with "Izvestia" about the products harmful to liver health. In addition to alcohol, one should not abuse products that are rich in animal fats. These include butter, lard, margarine, sausages, sausages, fatty meat (mutton, pork, duck, goose), pies, cakes, flour products and fast food, RT reports.

In turn, oncoimmunologist Daniil Shchepelyaev said that there is an increase in genital cancer in Russia. According to the doctor, such a trend has become a kind of "payback" for the decline in the incidence of esophageal and stomach cancer, reports NSN.
