The Ministry of Emergency Situations told about the danger of pyrotechnics

Inspectors of supervisory activity and preventive work departments of the Moscow region during raids remind citizens of the danger of using pyrotechnic products and recommend to pay attention to several key points. This was reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia on Wednesday, December 18.
"The instructions should contain highlighted in a special font warnings about the danger of using pyrotechnics. It is also necessary to familiarize yourself with the restrictions on the conditions of handling, including safe preparation, launching and disposal," the ministry said in a conversation with Radio 1.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that you should check the shelf life or warranty period of the product, as well as the date of manufacture.
The most typical injuries for New Year holidays are burns, fractures and poisoning. So, if pyrotechnics got into the eyes, you should never rub them, and you should not try to remove the foreign body yourself: it can damage the cornea. The eye should be covered with a clean napkin or bandage, and then go to an ophthalmologist as soon as possible, RT reports.
On December 12, traumatologist Sergei Klimov said that if burning elements of pyrotechnics hit the eye, one should immediately seek medical help to avoid losing vision, 360.ru reported. Before meeting with a doctor, it is important to carefully rinse the injured eye with saline or water.
In the IT-company "ATOL" told on December 13 to the agency of city news "Moscow" that Russians in 2024 began to buy less fireworks, the demand for them fell by almost 10%.
In turn, almost half of pets in Russia have a fear of fireworks, firecrackers and firecrackers. Almost 60% of owners said that they would buy insurance against fireworks for their animals, writes "Moscow 24".
Earlier, State Duma deputy, chairman of the Union of Dachniki of Moscow region Nikita Chaplin reminded that the fine for illegal trade in fireworks is up to 300 thousand rubles, while selling pyrotechnics can only be sold to persons over 16 years old, reports NSN.
