Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has visited the call center where calls for a direct line with Russian President Vladimir Putin are being received. On December 18, the Kremlin official was shown how representatives of the Popular Front movement work there.

The employees try to accept appeals and record them correctly. Peskov asked how long the shift of everyone sitting on the phone line lasts.

"Two hours. Then we change, other people come and replace us. Today we have been working since 8 a.m., the third shift is already underway," said one of the representatives of the "People's Front".

Earlier in the day, the president's press secretary told Izvestia that artificial intelligence (AI) helped to process the popularity rating of questions from the population received this year at the direct line. Peskov noted that citizens are most interested in the progress of Russia's special military operation (SMO).

Mikhail Kuznetsov, head of the People's Front executive committee, told Izvestia that the direct line to the president has already received more than 1.6 million appeals from Russians. Before that, on December 16, the head of the regional executive committee of the "People's Front" in the Tomsk region, Sergei Shalyapin, noted the competent composition of operators who "qualitatively work out questions" with the help of AI.

On December 14, Putin reported that he had already familiarized himself with the questions to be answered during the direct line and noted that the country is developing, but many more issues need to be resolved.

The direct line of the head of state on December 19 will be combined with a large press conference. The events will be held under the title "The results of the year with Vladimir Putin". Representatives of Western media and foreign journalists accredited in Russia have received invitations.
