Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Izvestia on Wednesday, December 18, that Russian President Vladimir Putin 's press conference will be attended by a certain number of foreign journalists from unfriendly countries.
"There are not many of them. There are such ones. First of all, naturally all those foreigners from unfriendly countries who continue to work for us. They are accredited here, they have valid accreditation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the presidential spokesman shared.
In addition, Peskov noted that a number of representatives of foreign media have expressed a desire to come specifically for the press conference.
On the eve of the headquarters of the movement "People's Front" became known that the number of applications for a direct line with the head of state exceeded 1.4 million applications. It was noted that the most popular way to ask a question remained calls, they received more than 780 thousand.
Prior to that, December 14, Putin said that he had already familiarized himself with the questions to be answered during the direct line. He also noted that the country is developing, but there are still many issues to be resolved.
The direct line of the head of state will be combined with a large press conference. The events will be held under the title "The results of the year with Vladimir Putin". Representatives of Western media and foreign journalists accredited in Russia have received invitations.
