Four AFU missiles shot down over Zaporizhzhya region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attempted to strike Berdyansk and Tokmak in Zaporizhzhya Region, presumably using Storm Shadow missiles, all attempts were prevented. This was reported by the Governor of the region Yevgeny Balitsky on December 18.

"Just talked to the operational services: the enemy attempted an air strike with one missile on Berdyansk and three missiles on Tokmak. All four missiles were shot down, presumably Storm Shadow," Balitsky wrote in his Telegram channel.

He also said that there were no casualties or damage. Fragments from the missiles fell into the waters of the Black Sea, as well as in the field west of Tokmak, specified the governor of Zaporizhzhya region.

Earlier in the day, Yuri Slyusar, the acting governor of the Rostov region, said that Russian air defense means (air defense) had repelled an attack by 10 Ukrainian missiles on the region. Slyusar, citing operational data, noted that there were no dead or injured as a result of the incident.

Ukrainian militants have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbass, which Russia announced on February 24, 2022.
