Air defense means destroyed 10 AFU missiles in Rostov region

Russian air defenses have destroyed 10 Ukrainian missiles in Rostov Region. This was reported on December 18 by the acting governor of the region Yuri Slyusar.

"According to the specified data, the forces and means of air defense repelled the attack of 10 missiles," - stated in a message in the Telegram-channel.

Slyusar specified that as a result of the fall of fragments of the downed missile in the farm Malaya Kamenka, a residential house on Pervomayskaya Street caught fire. Rescue services are working at the scene.

In addition, the governor added that the windows in the house on Rechnaya Street were damaged. Also the territory of the house was cordoned off, in the yard of which another rocket fragment was found.

Slyusar, referring to operational data, noted that there were no dead or injured as a result of the incident. Information on the damage is being clarified.

Earlier in the day, Slyusar already reported on the reflection by air defense means of a missile attack on the Rostov region. No casualties were also reported at that time.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
