The percentage of sales of Lada Vesta cars on credit has reached 80-85%. This was announced by Maxim Sokolov, President of AvtoVAZ. According to the top manager, in general for Lada models, almost two-thirds of sales go with the use of various credit instruments.

"We feel how by the end of the year, starting from the fourth quarter, there is a sharp pressure of all the regulatory measures that have been taken in terms of raising the key rate, and, as a consequence, the interest rate and the burden on our enterprises of other measures of tightening credit," Sokolov shared at the final meeting of the council of the Chelyabinsk branch of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, TASS reports.

The top manager also noted that since the beginning of the year AvtoVAZ has already produced more than 500 thousand cars.

The day before, AvtoVAZ proposed to change the state program of preferential car loans and issue discount certificates instead of loans. With this idea was made by the Vice President of AvtoVAZ for External Relations and Cooperation with Shareholders Sergei Gromak.

Before that, on December 4, the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov said that the increase in the key rate and tightening of lending standards made car loans for Russians almost unaffordable.
