More than 54 thousand liters of counterfeit alcohol were seized in the Irkutsk region

More than 54 thousand liters of counterfeit alcohol and alcohol-containing products have been seized in the Irkutsk region since the beginning of 2024. This is reported by IA IrkutskMedia with reference to the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A total of 670 trade objects were checked. Thanks to the raids, the number of detected facts of illegal sale of alcohol decreased almost twofold compared to 2023.

Based on the results of inspections, 22 criminal cases were initiated. 19 people were brought to responsibility.

In the Sverdlovsk region, police found more than 4 tons of counterfeit alcohol products in an underground shop. The products were bottled in bottles with labels of well-known brands.
