The fight between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usik and British Tyson Fury will be watched by an artificial intelligence referee for the first time in history. This was announced on December 18 by the chairman of the General Directorate of Entertainment Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al al-Sheikh.

The rematch between the two athletes will take place on December 21 at the Kingdom Arena in the Saudi capital Riyadh.

"For the first time in history, the fight will be monitored by an artificial intelligence-based referee. Without bias or human error. This experiment, which will not affect the official results, will debut the greatest fight of the century. Don't miss the historic moment," he wrote on social network X (formerly Twitter).

Earlier, on May 19, Usik won the title of absolute world champion in the heavyweight division by defeating Fury. The bout lasted all 12 rounds of three minutes each. At the end of the ninth Usik managed to send the Briton into a knockdown. For 35-year-old Fury, the defeat in this fight was the first in his career.
