Pskov region will have a mobile crematorium for animals

A mobile crematorium on wheels for utilization of fallen farm animals will appear in the Pskov region. Now there is no such equipment in the region, said the head of the regional committee on veterinary medicine Valery Udalov on Wednesday, December 18.
According to him, the expensive installation on the basis of a truck will be bought within the framework of strengthening the material and technical base of the veterinary service.
"It is also planned to carry out major repairs in the hospitals of three or four districts of the region, we will see what financing will be. Preliminary, the amount of work will not be less than this year," added Udalov, he was quoted by the Pskov newswire.
As the official specified, the committee has a lot of plans. Thus, in 2025 the region plans to continue the implementation of the project "Integrated development of rural areas" and the action plan for the prevention of dangerous diseases in the Pskov region, designed for 2023-2028 years.
In the current year, 2024, veterinary services were modernized in a number of municipalities at the expense of regional and federal budgets. The overhaul, in particular, took place in the Opochetsky, Pushkinogorsky and Velikoluksky districts.
Earlier "Izvestia" wrote that in Russia it is planned to carry out work on the reclamation and elimination of mass animal burials that pose a threat to human health. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rosselkhoznadzor propose to prohibit the creation of new animal burial grounds.
