In 2024, Russians have become more likely to choose artificial Christmas trees

This year, Russians began to prefer artificial Christmas trees. This is stated in the results of the research of the Russian Standard Bank, which were read by "Izvestia" on December 19.

As shown by the statistics of the credit organization, the leaders in the number of purchases in the pre-New Year's season 2024, unlike last year, were artificial fir trees - from cast to LED. They accounted for 56% of the total number of such goods in receipts, and natural, both cut down and in pots - 44%.

A year earlier, on the contrary, with a noticeable gap led natural fir trees. They accounted for 65% of purchases, while artificial ones accounted for the remaining 35%.

The bank noted that in this pre-New Year season the average check for one purchase of an artificial fir tree amounted to 4602 rubles. It has increased relative to last year, when it was Br4,450.

At the same time, the average receipt of one purchase of natural fir trees is Br6010. A year earlier it was Br5,810.

Analysts have separately studied purchases of New Year's decorations and Bengal lights. According to the bank, the average purchase of New Year's decorations for the home (tinsel, garlands, Christmas toys and other) amounted to Br238, while the average amount of Bengal lights - Br67.
