The best-selling foreign car on the Russian car market has been changed

Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max crossover became the best-selling foreign car in Russia, it turned out to be the best-seller at the end of the second week of December (50th in the year). This was reported by the analytical agency "Autostat" on December 18. For the previous three weeks, the best-selling foreign model in Russia was Chery Tiggo 4 Pro.

Thus, from December 9 to 15, 2024, 1166 new crossovers Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max were sold in the Russian Federation. In the overall standings, the most popular car on the Russian market was the Lada Granta (3331 units), followed by the Vesta (1709 units). Chery Tiggo 4 Pro became the fourth in the overall rating and the second among foreign cars (1085 units).

Lada Niva Travel, Haval Jolion, Lada Largus, Haval M6, Lada Niva Legend and Geely Monjaro are also in the top ten by the end of the week, their sales figure amounted to less than 1 thousand units.

A total of 25.2 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia in the second week of December, which is 16.5% less than a week earlier.

On December 13, it was reported that from January to November 2024, 848 thousand new passenger cars of Chinese brands were sold in Russia. This is 80% more than in January-November 2023. The share of passenger cars of brands from China in the Russian market increased from 50.1% to 58.6% over the year. The most popular brands among Russians are Haval, Chery, Geely and Changan.

Before that, on November 29, Chery announced that it will completely renew the model range in the Russian market. Thus, updated versions and restyling of the Arrizo sedan, Tiggo 4 city crossover and Tiggo 7 Pro Max and Tiggo 8 Pro Max family crossovers are expected in 2025.
