The father of a child found in St. Petersburg's Port Nakhodka shopping and entertainment complex with a note did not know that his wife had abandoned the baby. A man named Andrei, in a conversation with Izvestia on December 18, suggested that the spouse was in a difficult moral state.

"In disorder, she is a little bit. There is such a term 'postpartum depression'. This is our case," he said.

The man stated that what had happened was a mistake. His wife confessed to him what she had done, and now he is on his way to pick up the baby.

Andrei added that the found baby is the second child of the couple. About the future life with his wife, the man is not ready to discuss yet.

"First we need to take the child, and then plan how to solve it (the situation. - Ed.)," he concluded.

The child was found earlier in the day in the shopping and entertainment complex "Port Nakhodka", next to the baby lay a note, the author of which asked to take care of the baby.

Before that, on July 24, in the town of Fatezh in the Kursk region found a newborn girl, who was left on the street. The child was found by a passerby, the infant was taken to the children's hospital and provided with the necessary assistance. In addition, law enforcers opened a criminal case on the mother's attempted murder of the newborn.
