The AFU lost more than 210 fighters on the Kursk direction over the day


The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost more than 210 soldiers in the Kursk direction over the day. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday, December 18.
"Over the day the losses of the AFU amounted to more than 210 servicemen," the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, two tanks, two vehicles, a Croatian-made RAK-SA-12 multiple rocket launcher and a 122-millimeter D-30 howitzer were destroyed during the day.
In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the AFU lost more than 41,870 servicemen, 244 tanks, 127 armored personnel carriers and 318 artillery pieces.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that a UAV crew of Crimean paratroopers destroyed a US-made Ukrainian Abrams tank near Novoivanovka in the Kursk region.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
