Nikolay Olenev has left the post of FC Khimki general director

Nikolay Olenev has left the post of general director of the Moscow Region soccer club (FC) "Khimki". This was reported by the press service of the team on Wednesday, December 18.

"We thank Nikolay Olenev for joint work and wish him new success!" - said in a message on "VKontakte".

Olenev held the position since September 2022. During his tenure, the club returned to the Russian Premier League (RPL) and carried out a large-scale modernization of infrastructure.

Dmitry Brekhov, who previously served as Olenev's deputy, has been appointed as the team's new general director.

"I am glad to have the opportunity to work for the benefit of FC Khimki in a new capacity. In the nearest plans - progressive development of the team and the club, optimization of internal processes, growth of sports results and strengthening of infrastructure. After the New Year the players and coaches will go to training camp in Turkey, we expect to approach the spring part of the World RPL championship well prepared and competitive", - said Brekhov.

Earlier, on September 13, defender Georgi Dzhikiya moved to FC Khimki as a free agent. Before that, the athlete played for the Moscow club Spartak since 2017.
