SBU says counterintelligence measures in Kiev's government quarter


The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has carried out planned counterintelligence activities in the government quarter of Kiev. This was reported by the SBU in its Telegram channel on December 18.
"The objectives are to check the counter-sabotage protection of state facilities, as well as to strengthen the security of the capital's residents and persons subject to state protection," the statement said.
According to the SBU, the events are held jointly with the state protection department, the national police and the military service of law and order. It is reported that because of the event there may be restrictions on passage and passage through the streets of Kiev, as well as checking documents and cars.
Earlier, in the spring of this year, the SBU said about conducting counterintelligence activities in Kiev. It is noted that the purpose of such events is to check and strengthen counter-sabotage protection of important state facilities and places of mass stay of people.
