Almost 50 units of forest firefighting equipment were purchased for the Moscow region

Forest firefighting formations of the Moscow region have received 43 units of machinery and 22 units of equipment since the beginning of 2024. This was reported by the regional forestry committee on Wednesday, December 18.

For these purposes 250 million rubles were allocated. The purchase took place within the framework of the federal program "Forest Conservation" of the national project "Ecology", writes the online edition " Podmoskovye Segodnya".

Thus, 13 units of machinery and two units of equipment were bought with federal money, the rest - at the expense of the regional budget. Among them - 18 cars, six fire tankers and three small forest patrol complexes. The new equipment is equipped with GLONASS technical means of control.

Earlier it was reported that in the Moscow region after a large-scale overhaul opened forest fire station of the first type "Chekhov". Modernization of the facility will allow employees to respond more quickly to fires in the district.
