Spanish director Eduard Cortes is accused of harassing 27 women. This was reported by the newspaper El País on December 18.

"According to the complainants, Cortes contacted them through networks and under the pretext of offering them work asked to film themselves naked," - stated in the report.

It is reported that most of the women who accuse Cortés are actresses between the ages of 20 and 30. The director contacted them through social media, claiming he was on the lookout for actresses for his new projects. He ended up offering them jobs in exchange for candid videos.

"The conversations happened as part of a hypothetical search for connections between the character's demeanor and our personal experiences. They were never explicit offers," Cortes said in his defense.

Eduard Cortes made his debut as a director and writer of television series in 1991. In 2003, he was nominated for a Goya Award for directing the movie "Nobody's Life" and in 2005, he received a nomination for his screenplay for the drama "Other Days Will Come."

Earlier in October this year, it became known that the French movie star Gerard Depardieu will begin his trial for harassment. He is accused of sexual assault by two participants in the filming of the picture "Green Shutters" in 2021. Dozens of women protesters gathered outside the courthouse before the start of the session, demanding justice.
