In Tatarstan, the son of the chairman of the Qualification Collegium of Judges of the republic, Radik Gilmanov, was detained in a case of justification of terrorism. The detainee incited hatred and enmity towards persons with non-Muslim faith, representatives of Slavic nationalities and the Russian military. This was reported by the source of "Izvestia" on December 18.

It was established that 27-year-old Gilmanov consistently studied Salafi religious extremist materials. Since December 2022, he has repeatedly published comments of a radical nature on pro-Ukrainian Telegram channels and in chat rooms, as well as articles justifying a massive Ukrainian drone attack on Crimea in August 2023. In addition, the personal cell phone of the figure was translated into Ukrainian.

It is also noted that some time ago the man got a job in a special economic zone, where unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Russian Federation are produced. That's where he was detained. According to law enforcers, Gilmanov could have acted on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services.

The State Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened criminal cases against the radical under Article 205.2 ("Public call for terrorist activities") and Article 282 ("Incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, on November 28, a resident of Chelyabinsk region was detained for public calls to extremism. The regional department of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia said that the man published extremist materials in the messenger Telegram. A criminal case under part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for extremist activity, committed with the use of mass media or information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet) was opened against the defendant.

When arrested, the man offered law enforcement officers a bribe, and therefore another case was opened against him - under Part 3 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Giving a bribe to an official"). The defendant was taken into custody.
