Poachers open roe deer hunt after snowfall

In the Amur Region, poachers took advantage of the snowfall to prey on roe deer. Two groups of violators were detained by hunting inspectors.

According to PriamurMedia IA, the animals got stuck in the snow and could not escape from people. Cases of illegal hunting were detected in Mazanovsky district. The first group in a car was spotted in the hunting grounds, the inspectors noticed traces of blood on the men's boots. Weapons and a thermal imager were found in the car, and not far from the parking lot they found a roe deer carcass buried in the snow.

While the inspectors were drawing up a report and waiting for the police, another car was spotted nearby. Shell casings and blood stains were found on the floor of the car. Following the tracks of the SUV, the hunting inspectors found the carcasses of three roe deer.

A criminal case will be initiated on the fact of illegal roe deer hunting. The damage from the actions of the second group of poachers is estimated at 440 thousand rubles.

Yakutia has approved the Concept of development of hunting economy until 2035. The authorities plan to form a regulatory framework and preserve traditional types of hunting, increasing its culture.
